The Argentinean soprano, Graciela Oddone, studied at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, where she completed her studies with Master of Arts degree in singing. She refined her singing with Ernst Haefliger, Régine Crespin, Denise Dupleix, Erik Werba, Heather Harper, Delia Rigal, Guillermo Opitz and Aldo Baldin.
Graciela Oddone is an acclaimed performer of oratorios, choral and symphonic concerts, chamber music by J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, Haydn, W.A. Mozart, L.v. Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Rossini, Luciano Berio, Dvorak, Dmitri Shostakovich, Gabriel Fauré, Francis Poulenc and Debussy, among others.
As an opera singer Graciela Oddone has performed in the most prestigious venues in her ountry, America and Europe. She sang at the Teatro Colón, among others, Le nozze di Figaro, Turandot, Hansel and Gretel (Engelbert Humperdinck), Iphigenia in Tauris, The Magic Flute, Madama Butterfly, Carmen (Georges Bizet), Das Rheingold (Wagner), L 'incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi), Las Indias galantes (Rameau), L’ occasione fa il ladro, L'Elisir d'amore and Armide. At the Centro de Experimentación she appeared in Il Lamento d'Arianna, Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda and the songspiel Mahagonny.
In Europe, Graciela Oddone made her debut in Così fan tutte conducted by René Jacobs. She sang in Solimano by Johann Adolf Hasse, La Sonnambula (Bellini), L'Orfeo, The Purple Rose (Torrejón and Velasco), Il mattutino de 'morti by Pérez, La virtù de strali d’amore by Cavalli and Il Vespro della Beata Vergine, in London, Lausanne, Berlin, Paris , Geneva, Madrid, Brussels, Innsbruck, Montreux, Palermo, Lisbon, New York, and at Festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Beaune, Metz, Innsbruck and Vigo, under the baton of Philippe Herreweghe, René Jacobs and Gabriel Garrido, among many others.

Graciela Oddone recorded Il primo omicidio by Alessandro Scarlatti and Così fan tutte by W.A. Mozart under the baton of René Jacobs, and the comic intermezzo La contadina by J.A. Hasse, conducted by Attilio Cremonesi and The Purple Rose (Torrejón & Velazco) conducted by Gabriel Garrido. In 2000, she participated in the First Festival of Baroque Music in Cordoba, in The Rare Fruits Council conducted by Manfredo Kraemer. |
