conductor, singer and composer Benjamin Niemczyk, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music (1995-1999); and his Master of Music degree in Music Theory and Composition from DePaul University (2001-2002). His principal conducting teachers are Cliff Colnot and Harold Rosenbaum.
Benjamin Niemczyk is a conductor, singer and composer of uncommon range. He has been Music Director of Oratory Choir Of St Boniface (since July 2004); Conductor and Artistic Director of Westchester Oratorio Society (since July) 2007); Conductor and Artistic Director of Chrysalis Consort (since July 2010); Conductor and Artistic Director of New Westchester Symphony Orchestra (since November 2011); Conductor and Artistic Director of New York Session Symphony (since January 2015). He has held administrative positions also with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Grant Park Orchestra, Canticum Novum Singers, New York Virtuoso Singers and C4. He is a founding member of C4. He served on the original jury for the composition competition of the New York Virtuoso Singers. He is the co-founder of the New Westchester Symphony Orchestra and its former president.
Benjamin Niemczyk has performed with Anthony Newman, Hélène Grimaud, Ennio Morricone at Radio City Music Hall and the United Nations General Assembly, John Nelson, Marin Alsop, Harold Rosenbaum, Amy Kaiser, Frank Nemhauser, the Orchestra of St. Luke's, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Springfield Symphony (Massachusetts).

Also an amateur violist, Benjamin Niemczyk is a member of Classical Fusion Chamber Ensemble and the New York Late Starters Orchestra. An accomplished photographer and videographer, he is the host of the web series Real World Conducting. His television commercials have appeared on cable News 12. He also has appeared in the film My Best Friend’s Wedding as well as the series 48 Hours and Mozart in the Jungle. He currently lives in New York City, New York. |
