The Japanes baritone, Ikutaro Nakagawa [Japanese: 中川 郁太郎], studied at Studied at Aoyama Gakuin University, Faculty of Law, Aoyama Campus (Class of 2000); and at Studied at Tokyo University of the Arts (Class of 2004). He graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Solo Music (Class of 2014). He studied vocal music under the late Naoki Ota and others, and conducting under Tomoo Hasegawa and others. He also studied abroad in Leipzig.
Ikutaro Nakagawa is a member of the Tokyo Chamber Opera (since April 2014). In October 2016, he was appointed Associate Professor at the Tohoku Gakuin University Institute of Sacred Music. He is also Conductor of Kashiwa Messiah Choir (KMC) (since January 2018); Kapellmeister of Musicaliche Garten Yokohama (since December 2019); and Music Director at Chorus Cubiculum Tokyo (since June 2022). |
