In 1991 he followed a call to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf-Duisburg, at which he performed as Belmonte in Entführung aus dem Serail, as Tamino in Zauberflöte, as Arscace in Mozart’s Idomeneo, as Fenton in Lustigen Weibern von Windsor by Nicolai and as Astrologe in Der goldene Hahn by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. In November 1995 he participated in the premiere of the opera Gervaise Macquart by Giselher Klebe (as Lantier). Since 1991 he had a guest engagement at the Staatsoper Dresden. He attracted attention there as Belmonte and as Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. He had a successful career also as a concert soloist. |
