The German contralto, Barbara Müller, studied at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich first piano and flute, later singing with Ingrid Bettag. In 1987 she presented her concert exam. Master-classes with Anna Reynolds, Kurt Widmer and Joshua Rifkin completed her training.
After numerous engagements in Germany, Barbara Müller has appeared in other conutries, such as Austria, Czech Republic, Italy and France, where, for example, as she was heard as a soloist in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245). During a Japan tour with the Dresdner Kreuzchor, she performed J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244) and Mass in B minor (BWV 232). In addition to the concert literature, she is devoted also to intensive Lieder singing. Since 1988, she sings alto in the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks. |
