The Soloists Ensemble of the Moscow State Philharmonic Society “Concertino” was organized in 1981 by graduates of the Moscow Conservatoire. The artistic director of the group became Andrew Korsakov, whose talent has gained world-wide recognition.
The repertoire of “Concertino” includes compositions of various styles and genres of Russian and European music of the 18th-20th centuries from Baroque concertos and early classical symphonies to violin miniatures of the early 20th century and dissonance music.

Andrew Korsakov was born in 1946 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire (Professor Belenky and the master Soviet violin art Leonid Kogan courses). He is a prize-winner of international competitions of Paganini in Genoa, in Montreal, of M. Longue and J. Tibot in Paris, of Queen Elizabeth in Brussels, of Tchaikovsky in Moscow. Andrew Korsakov performs together with the largest orchestras and outstanding conductors of today. He has recorded violin works of J.S. Bach for Berlin radio. In the USSR he is awarded the title of People’s artist of the Russian Federation, and the Brussels E.Izai foundation medal. He teaches violin course at the Moscow Conservatoire and conducts seminars at the International Academy of Musical Art in France. |
Victor Kozodov, cello Education has received at the central children’s musical school and the Moscow Conservatoire named after P.I.Tchaikovsky at professor S.T. Kalianov. Has huge experience chamber music playing. One of founders of the ensemble “Concertino”. The author of some instrumentations for ensemble (The Seasons by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Pictures from exposition by Mussorgsky etc.). With concerts has gone round many countries and cities. Represented itself as manager of the last 6 CD’s of the ensemble “Concertino”. |
Victor Ponomarev, flute In 1983 was graduated from the Moscow conservatoire named after P.I. Tchaikovsky at professor J.N. Dolzhikov. Has huge experience chamber music playing. In the ensemble “Concertino” works since 1984. Cooperates with known conductors: Svetlanov, Fedoseev, Ponkin and others. Worked with known musicians, as: Korsakov, Fedotov, Stadler etc. With concerts has gone round many countries and cities. Participates in all projects of ensemble Concertino. |
Grigory Kats, oboe Studied playing on Oboe at V.Soboleva and Professor L.N. Petrov in the Moscow Conservatoire. Has huge experience chamber music playing. In the ensemble “Concertino” works since 1981. In different time Yehudi Menuhin, J .Bashmet and others acted as the soloist in concerts under management with Sandetskis. Acted in ensembles with known musicians, as: Utkin, Fedotov, Stadler etc. Gives concerts in Russia and abroad (France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Finland etc.) with conducting chamber orchestras of the country. As the soloist and the chamber executor enters the name on CD’s in Russia, Europe and America. |
Dmitry Shvedov, piano (harpsichord) In 1983 was graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire named after P.I. Tchaikovsky at professor L.N. Vlasenko. Has huge experience of chamber music playing. In the ensemble “Concertino” works since 1981. Cooperates with known chamber orchestras of the country: State chamber, Virtuosos of Moscow and others. Acted in ensembles with known musicians, as: Utkin, Fedotov, Stadler etc. As the chamber executor has written down a plenty of CD. The author of many instrumentations of the ensemble “Concertino”. |
Jaroslav Krasnikov, the first violin Was graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire. From 1983 took part in concerts as violin soloist and concertmaster of the best Moscow orchestras. In the frame of the project BBC “Classic case” recorded The seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, with GSO named after Tchaikovsky, recorded Double Concerto by Johannes Brahms (conducted by Fedoseev), recorded with international Moscow orchestra the concert for violin with orchestra by A. Khachaturian. From 1991 he works as the first violin of the ensemble “Concertino”. |
Sofia Krasnikova, the second violin Sofia Krasnikova was graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire in 1982. She worked as concertmaster with opera’s orchestra of the Moscow Conservatoire and took part in the string quartet Litsey. Playing in the ensemble “Concertino” from 1995. |
Pavel Zhdanov, viola In 1999 was graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire named after P.I. Tchaikovsky on class of Professor G.Odinets. In 2001 was graduated from aspiranture of the Moscow Conservatoire. As a member of the string Frank quartet played in Russia and abroad (France, Germany). From 1999 he works as a soloist of the ensemble “Concertino”. |
Pavel Sablin, double-bass In 1984 was graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire where he studied at the class of Professor L. Andreev. Pavel Sablin worked in symphonic orchestras of Moscow. He worked with such conductors as E. Svetlanov and Y. Simonov. From 1989 he works in the ensemble of soloists of the Moscow State Philharmonic Society “Concertino”. As a member of the ensemble took part in recording of 11 CD’s recorded by “Concertino”. |
