The English soprano, Amy Moore, was a choral scholar as an undergraduate at Royal Holloway University.
Amy Moore is a young professional singer, based in London. She now enjoys a variety of professional choral and consort singing, as well as developing her emerging solo career, in both oratorio and recital. She is privileged to sing regularly with a number of leading UK and European professional ensembles, including

The Tallis Scholars (Director: Peter Phillips),
Polyphony (Director: Stephen Layton),
The Sixteen (Director: Harry Christophers),
The English Concert, Cambridge Singers (Director:
John Rutter) and BBC Singers, with whom she toured Mexico in October 2006, and is also a member of The Choir of All Saints, Margaret Street, under the direction of Paul Brough. She also sings with The Royal Opera Extra Chorus. She especially enjoys consort work, performing last autumn in the Brighton Early Music Festival alongside fellow 'young singers' as well as established artists, including
Emma Kirkby and Andrew Carwood. She also sings with the consort La Grande Chappelle, most recently performing a stirring programme of Spanish profane music at the music festival in Madeira.
Increasingly in demand as a soloist, particularly in Baroque and contemporary repertoire , her repertoire is varied, spanning composers from
J.S. Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude and Purcell, to Messiaen and
Francis Poulenc, taking in, amongst others,
George Frideric Handel, W.A. Mozart and Rossini along the way. Appearances with Wokingham Choral Society: at Eton College School Hall on Saturday November 17, 2007 she performed
G.F. Handel's Coronation Anthem 'My heart is inditing and
W.A. Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate K165. Her recent engagements outside of Exaudi include
G.F. Handel’s Messiah with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra in Germany,
G.F. Handel’s Messiah with The Hanover Band, Jonathan Cole’s Assassin Hair with the London Contemporary Orchestra, and a live radio broadcast of
Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem with the
RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra in Dublin.
In addition to her performing work, Amy Moore also teaches singing at Chigwell School. She directed and conducted the Chigwell student performances of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas last year and Mozart's Magic Flute earlier this year. Amy studies singing with Sophie Grimmer. |
