Thje Korean pianist, Yeseul Moon, started playing the piano at the age of 7. At the age of 16, she graduated from Sunhwa Arts School with the highest honors. During her studies she gave a piano concert with the orchestra of the Sunhwa Arts School. She continued her high school studies here, had excellent results, and was a Hyundai Foundation fellow. She also received the highest award when she completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Ewha Womans University (이화여자대학교) in 2016. She won numerous first prizes, for example at the 18th Segye Newspaper Competition, the Music Journal Competition, the 11th International Piano Competition in Seoul (with a piano recital in the Seoul Youngsan Art Hall) and the 25th Korean-German Brahms Competition.
Yeseul Moon has lived in Germany since 2016 and completed her Master of Music degree in Piano with Professor Gilead Mishory at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg (2016-2018). In 2017 she won the 2nd prize and the audience prize at the 7th Arthur Lepthien piano competition as well as the sponsorship award from the university's friends' association. She deepened her artistic development in master classes with Christoph Lieske, Gerald Fauth, Robert Levin, Felix Gottlieb, Roberto Domingos, Attila Némethy and Winfried Apel. She currently lives in Freiburg, Germany. |
