The American tenor and music pedagogue, Donald Clark Measels, earned Associate of Arts degree from East Central Junior College in 1973. He hearned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees from William Carey College in 1974 and 1976 respectively. He earned his Master of Church Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1980 and 1986 resepectively. He had additional studies at Indiana University, DePaul University, and Guild Hall School of Music and Dance (London).
Clark Measels has given solo performances as a tenor singer with Knoxville Choral Society, Baylor University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ridgecrest Baptist Conference Center, Walter State Community Chorus, Knoxville Community Chorus, National NATS Convention, William Carey College, Centre College. Hhe has also given numerous recitals and/or appearances in churches and schools in Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia, and in England.
Clark Measels served as Church Musician for several churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi. He taught at the Faculty of Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts (1989-1990), and was Fellow at Salzburg Seminar No. 352 "Music for the Next Millennium". Currently he holds the Dean Chair of Department of Music at the School of Fine Arts, Carson-Newman College.
