The American baritone, Michael McKay, studied voice with Noriko Paukert and organ with Margaret Scharf, and graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance from Cleveland State University.
Michael McKay is office manager in the Performing Arts, Music, and Film department at the Cleveland Museum of Art (since Soptember 2006). He has performed with Apollo's Fire (Director: Jeannette Sorrell), Quire Cleveland (Director: Ross W. Duffin), Old Stone Singers, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Choir, and CWRU Early Music Singers, as well as in various Cleveland-area chamber ensembles. He served as associate organist at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist from June 1998 to September 2012. He resides in Cleveland with his wife Heather and two children. |
