The American cellist, guitarist and arranger, Jeffrey McFarland-Johnson, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance from University of the Pacific (1973-1977); and his Masterr of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition from University of California, San Diego (1984-1986). During this period he performed extensively throughout the San Diego area.
Jeffrey McFarland-Johnson performed throughout Europe and the USA. He has gained a growing reputation for his performances in the Napa Valley since his arrival in 1988. He has played weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings as soloist, with harp, violin/flute trio and string quartets. He also performs on electric cello, acoustic and electric bass, guitar, and the bodhran.
Jeffrey McFarland-Johnson enjoys composing and arranging music for singers, children, rock and jazz groups. He has participated in numerous recording sessions and always looks forward to his next music engagement.
Jeffrey McFarland-Johnson was Public School Instructor at Napa Valley Unified School District (NVUSD), where he taught band, strings, general music, language, and social studies in grades 6, 7, & 8. A (January 1989-June 2010). June 1997, he founded cand is President of JohnSong Music. He currently lives in Napa, California. |
