The French tenor, Xavier Mauconduit, began studying music at the age of 7 years, first with the classical guitar he forsake fairly quickly in favor of the trumpet. It incorporates parallel the children's choir at his school of music with which he sings as a soloist in several concerts and operas for children.He started learning classical singing at the age of 15 years with the mezzo-soprano Florence Rousselle in Amiens where he did a Bachelor Literary music option. At 21, he joined the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris in the class of Gerda Hartman (2004-2008). He worked with teachers like Claude Lavoix, Mark Davis, Olivier Dauriat, Philippe Bernold, Chantal Buchy, Emmanuelle Cordoliani and follows master-class Yvonne Minton and Malcolm King. He got his prize with highest honors in June 2008. He received attention in October 2007 at the 4th International Competition of French Melody of Toulouse by getting the first prize of interpretation. He returned to Toulouse in September 2010 for the 48th International Vocal Competition at the Capitol Theatre which he released finalist.
In opera, Xavier Mauconduit has played roles as Borsa in Verdi's Rigoletto (conducted by Mélanie Thiebaut, staged by Francis Perrin), Doctor Caius in Verdi's Falstaff with Opera de Metz (conducted by Gian Rosario Presuti, staged by Jean-Louis Grinda) Nemorino in Donizetti's Elixir of Love with Co Star of the Day, Mengone in Haydn's Lo Speziale (conducted by Claude Andree Brayer, staged by Anne-Marie Lazarini) at the Theatre artistic Athévains, Gernando in Haydn's Isola disabitata with The Pocket Opera Co. or Horace in Charles Gounod's La Colombe (conducted by Catherine Puig, staged by Guignolet Florence).
Member of Co. The Robbers, Xavier Mauconduit is also illustrated in the directory including the operetta as Corbillon in The King's Course Petaud by Léo Delibes (conducted by Christopher Grapperon, staged by Jean-Phillipe Salerio) and Prince of Mantua in Offenbach's Les Brigands (conducted by Benjamin Levy, staged by Stephane Valle & Loic Boissier). He also had the festival poster and Back Off Venelles in July 2007 and 2008 as Piquillo in Offenbach's Périchole with partner Marie-Ange and Marc Todorovitch Barrard, then as Florestan in Ducroquet's A husband to the door and Gargaillou in The Good Child, two one-act operetta by Offenbach. In December 2009, he had the privilege to play opposite Edita Gruberová in the finale of Donizetti's Roberto Devereux at his concert event at the Theatre des Champs Elysees, under the baton of Friedrich Haider.
Very attracted to Baroque music, Xavier Mauconduit is a member since 2005 of the early music Ensemble Opalescences (Director: Saskia Salembier) with which he plays the Evangelist in J.S. Bach's St. John Passion (BWV 245), Dietrich Buxtehude's Membra Jesu nostro, the French cantatas of Montéclair Clérambault: Absence Bernier, Pan et Syrinx and Orpheus. Still with music Ensemble Opalescences but vocal quartet sings the Missa Pange Lingua by Josquin Desprez motets and the same composer. He currently lives in Chantilly, Picardie, France. |
