The German tenor, Dan Martin, received his first training musical with the choral group Dresdner Kreuzchor, to which he belonged between 1984 and 1992. His singing studies began in 1994 with Karl-Heinz Koch at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden. He maintains a constant artistic relationship with the the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann).
Dan Martin's concert activities began, nationally and internationally, already as a student, having the opportunity to present in renowned venues such as the Tonhalle de Zürich, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Philharmonie in Cologne and the Lincoln Center in New York City. During his multiple activities as a soloist, he has presented with renowned choral and instrumental groups, including the Lautten Compagney Berlin (Director: Wolfgang Katschner), Vokalwerk de Numberg, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Ricercar Consort (Director: Philippe Pierlot), Rheinische Kantorei (Director: Hermann Max), Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe) and Vocalconsort Berlin.
Extensive concert tours have taken Dan Martin through Spain, Great Britain, Italy,] apón, India, Portugal, Hungary, Norway and Australia. He has worked, in addition, with directors of the stature of Hans-Christoph Rademann, Sylvain Cambreling, Hermann Max, Paul Hillier, John Nelson, Iván Fischer, Masaaki Suzuki, James Wood and Marcus Creed. He currently lives in Dresden, Germany. |
