The Swiss cellist, Peter Marti, took cello lessons with Walter F. Hindermann, Klara Tanner-Egyedi and Markus Stocker. He studied at the Conservatory of Winterthur with Susanne Basler-Novsak, and obtained hs teacher diploma in 1988. He also attended numerous master courses at home and abroad. He also studied with Professor Michael Flaksmann, and obtained his concert diploma in 1990.
Peter Marti he has been working as a cello teacher for almost 30 years: at the Musikkonservatorium Schaffhausen and the canton school of Schaffhausen, and lecturer at the SMPV (Swiss association of music teachers) He has been solo cellist of the Kammerorchester des Musik-Collegiums Schaffhausen, and participated in numerous concerts both as a soloist as well as in different formations. Realization of music projects including cello and other arts, and CD productions. He published a complete recording of the Solo Suites (BWV 1007-1012) by J.S. Bach. In recent years he has begun to arrange works of cello literature. In 2016, the German cellist Johannes Goritzki became aware of his work and encouraged him to continue on this path.
