The American bass, choral conductor, researcher and educator, Thomas Marks, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree (summa cum laude) in Vocal Performance from University of Missouri-Kansas City (2006-2010); his Master of Music degree in Musicology from University of Missouri-Kansas City (2011-2013); and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Musicology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York (2013-2019).
Thomas Marks has been Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College (August 2014-May 2016); Visiting Researcher at Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Lower Saxony, Germany (October 2016-July 2017); Writing Fellow at Borough of Manhattan Community College (August 2017-May 2018); Graduate Fellow at City University of New York (July 2013-June 2018); Program Assistant with National Youth Orchestra (NYO) at Carnegie Hall (May-Sepmber 2018); Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lehman College in Bronx, New York (August 2018-May 2019); Adjunct Assistant Professor at Queens College (January-May 2019); Bass section leader at Saint Peter's Church in New York City (August 2018-August 2019); Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music (July 2019-June 2020); Choral Director at The Rivers School in Weston, Massachusetts (since July 2020). |
