The Bach-Trompetenensemble Mainz whose roots lie in the state capitals of Mainz and Wiesbaden, is dedicated to the majestic trumpet literature of the composer to whom it owes lts name.
The musicians studied variously in Cologne, Frankfurt, Mainz and Linz. Their ensemble and chamber music experience has been enriched at international master-classes With musicians such as Prof. .Friedemann Immer, Prof. Edward H. Tarr, Bo Nilsson as well as the German Brass Academy. They have performed, both in Germany and abroad, with the Deutsches Kammerorchester Frankfurt, the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester, the Barockorchester Rosenheim, the Mainzer Domchor, the Bach-Chor Darmstadt and the Wiesbadener Kammerchor.
They have gained individual orchestral experience in the Opern- und Museumsorchester Frankfurt, Berliner Symphoniker, Süd-Westfälische Philharmonie, Staatstheater Mainz, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Kassel and Stadttheater Gießen.
Their broad repertoire, in combination with organ or piano and percussion, spans the Renaissance and Baroque (on original instruments), Classical and Jazz as well as avant- garde or contemporary music.
