Magnifica Comunità Ensemble
Accademia della Magnifica Comunità (Baroque Instrumental Ensemble)

Founded: 1990 - Italy

The Magnifica Comunità Ensemble was founded a Baroque instrumental ensemble in 1990. Its musicians - who have the aim of making classical music known - carry on a costant activity of personal and group studying and they believe that a philological and stylistical research is necessary to understand music of every century. They have attended post-graduate courses in prestigious schools of music such as The Royal Conservatory of Aja (Holland), Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland), the Accademia Musicale Pescarese (Italy), the Accademia Chigiana of Siena (Italy), the School of music of Fiesole (Italy) and the Accademie Musicale of Villecroze (France).

The activity of this Academy includes numerous forms of performances, from the Trio to the Orchestra and it also collaborates with choral ensembles, The members of the Academy play as solo players in orchestral ensembles such as: the Accademia Bizantina, Europa Galante, Concerto Italiano (Director: Rinaldo Alessandrini), Cappella Musicale di S. Petronio, Chamber Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, the Orchestra of the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza and have played and still play with very well famous solists (such as C. Chiarappa, Fabio Biondi, Rinaldo Alessandrini, D. Asciolla, E. Gatti, G. Guglielmo, P. Vernikov, Sergio Vartolo, Piero Toso, etc.).

Even if it is young, the Academy has done numerous concerts in prestigious italian and foreign concert halls (for example in the Concertgebow of Amsterdam) and it has always had success and unanimous agreement of the critics.
