The English tenor, Adrian Lowe, completed his music studies at the Manchester University graduating with a Ph.D. In 1997 he was appointed Lay Clerk at Manchester Cathedral.
Adrian Lowe appeared regularly on BBC Radio 4 as a member of the Daily Service Singers. He also performed as a soloist within the chamber choir in Michael Tippett's The Mask of Time conducted by Mark Elder with the Hallé Orchestra. In January 2000 he was appointed Tenor Lay Clerk at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford under Stephen Darlington. He has appeared with choirs and ensembles such as the BBC Singers, European Voices, Polyphony, Huelgas Ensemble, The Sixteen, Tenebrae, Voces Sacrae and The Berliner Philharmoniker, working with conductors such as Andrew Carwood, Harry Christophers, Mark Elder, Nicholas Kraemer, Kurt Masur, Andrew Parrott, Paul Van Nevel and Simon Rattle. In June 2005 he participated in performances of J.S. Bach’s Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) with the New London Consort conducted by Philip Pickett at the Israel Festival Jerusalem.
