The German-French mezzo-soprano, Florence Losseau, sang her 9th year in the Kinderchor des Staatstheaters am Gärtnerplatz München. In the fall of 2009 she began her vocal studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Professor Frieder Lang; then at the and theAugust Everding TheatreAcademy. She is the recipient of a Christl and Klaus Haack Foundation Scholarship.
In September 2011 Florence Losseau made her debut as Annina in Verdi's opera La Traviata with the Lyrischen Opernensemble Dachau. The same year she also sang and sang in Vivier’s Kopernikus at the Munich Biennale and in the premiere of Alexander Strauch’s STYX – Orfeo’s past now. This was followed by the role of the 3rd Lady in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in a production of the Young Bavarian Opera Company. She then appeared in the Spanish opera La Vida Breve by Manuel de Falla in the role of Abuela at the Prinzregententheater. In a co-production of the August-Everding-Akademie with the Gärtnerplatztheater, The Cunning Little Vixen by Janacek, she played two small roles. In 2015, she performed in both Martín y Soler’s L’arbore di Diana at the Prinzregententheater, Munich, and Georges Bizet’s Carmen with the Munich Radio Orchestra. Concert appearances have included J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) and St John Passion (BWV 245), and W.A. Mozart’s Requiem. Most recently, she sang the Hänsel in Engelbert Humperdinck's opera Hansel und Gretel. She also appeared at the Isny Opera Festival: |
