The American mezzo-soprano, Lori Liebelt, studied at the Minnesota Opera Institute, Minneapolis and San Francisco Conservatory of Music, including courses Astrid Varnay, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Professor Norman Shelter. She studied art at the San Francisco Art Institute, scholarship for the visual and performing arts at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
Lori Liebelt has appeared as a guest at Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, Munich, the Bayerischer Rundfunk and Norddeutscher Rundfunk. Her roles include Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Anežka in Two Widows), Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Meg Page in Falstaff and Mother Jeanne in Dialogue of the Carmelites. She also performs internationally as a concert and Lieder singer. |
