The Korean pianist, Jihye Lee, began playing piano at the age of 4 and completed her pianistc studies at Kyung Hee University in Seoul. In 2007 she came to Germany to further her studies at Folkwang Universität der Künste Essen with Boris Bloch. During her studies she has also participated in master-classes by Günter Ludwig, Alfredo Perl and Svetlana Navarssadjan and chamber music master-classes by Minguet Quartet, Sol Gabetta, Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Henri Sigfridsson. In 2010 she won the 2nd Prize at the Piano Competition for young musicians of Köhler-Osbahr-Foundation and in 2012 she won the 1st prize at Concorso Internazionele Musicisti Magnificatlupiae. She graduated her diplom degree with highest distinction at Folkwang Universität der Künste and in 2013 she also finished her master degree for chamber music sucessfully at the same University with Andreas Reiner. In 2014 she won the 1st Prize at Steinway Förderpreis Münster. She studied with Peter von Wienhardt at Musikhochschule Münster and in 2016 she graduated with Konzertexamen.
Jihye Lee was invited to festivals and concert venues as soloist as well as chamber musician such as Extraschicht Rhein Ruhr Festival, Bagno Steinfurt, Schloss Herten, Sommermusik-Xanten and Internationale Konzerttage Mittelrhein. |
