The French soprano, choral conductor and vocal technique teacher, Michèle Ledroit, won the the prize for piano and chamber music at Nancy and then brilliantly won the CAEM au Lycée La Fontaine de Paris, together with a first singing prize at the Conservatoire National de Région de Versailles.
Alongside a university course (MA in musicology department of studies in the au Centre de Formation des Professeurs de Collèges à l’Ecole Normale de Nancy, Université de Metz), Michèle Ledroit continued her vocal work and assumed a career as a soprano, solo or alongside her husband, the late counter-tenor Henri Ledroit. She has gained the enthusiasm of the public and the press for her reading of the Baroque repertoire as well as for her interpretations of Lieder and French melodies. The flexibility of interpretation and her musical approach is documented on various recordings - Benedetto Marcello, G. Nivers, Alessandro Scarlatti, François Couperin, M.A. Charpentier (labels Fy-Stil and Ricercar).
