The Belgian soprano, Enide Lebrocquy, discovered her love for music at an early age. At the age of 5 she received her first piano lessons with Katrien De Wulf and Liesbet Van Daele. In addition, she also attended a few internships, where she was taught by Sylvie Decramer. At the age of 11, she had her first singing experiences with Gynaika, a youth choir of Godfried Van de Vyvere. With Gynaika she made many international concert tours (to Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Austria, England ...) and she participated in various competitions. In 2005 Gynaika participated in the competition 'Choir of the Year', in which the laureate was awarded in the category 'youth choirs'. From 1998 the choir placed itself 5 times in a row in the highest division of the East Flemish provincial fanciers' tournaments. She received her first singing lessons from Véronique Daelman and Irene Carpentier. After a break of a few years she continued her singing lessons with Steven Mariën and Bart Uvyn. In addition, she also sang a year with Vox Mago under the direction of Patrick Debrabandere.
Enide Lebrocquy also participates in various chamber music ensembles. In 2013 she founded 'Duende' with mezzo-soprano Marinken Van de Velde, of which Dominique Boeynaems became the permanent guitarist in 2015. She also organizes chamber music concerts with Arne de Wit (guitar) and Gert-Jan Verbueken (cello and vocals). From 2015 to 2017 she was part of 'Femmesemble'.
Enide Lebrocquy has just finished her Bachelor of Music degree in solo classical singing with Sinan Vural and Margriet van Reisen at the Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg. She is starting her studies for Master of Music degree in September 2018. From 2014 to 2016 she also received lessons from Xenia Meijer. She also attended master-classes with Maarten Koningsberger, Carina Vinke and Jan van Elsacker.
At the conservatory Enide Lebrocquy participated in various opera productions. In 2015 she performed Francis Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites and the following year she played Ida in Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss. Last year (2017) she performed the role of the Dauwmann in Hänsel und Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck. On October 8, 2016, she became the very first winner of the Bach Vocalistenconcours Brabant. She currently live in Malle, Belgium. |
