The Swedish soprano and singing teacher, Christina Larsson Malmberg, studied music at Betelseminariet Folkhögskola in Stockholm (1996-1997; singing teacher: Lars Arvidsson); Vadstena Folkhögskola, specializing in singing education, (1997-1999; singing teachers: Karin Westberg, Ingrid Haking Raaby); Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium (The Royal Danish Music Conservatory), Music Teacher's Degree, Classical Singing / Music Drama (4 Years, Degree 2003), Music Education Diploma, Classical Singing (1 Year, Degree 2006; singing teachers: Hanne Stavad, Bodil Gümoes, Åsa Bäverstam); Kungl Musikhögskolan in Stockholm, Artistic Master's Degree in Music - Classical Music, Early Music (2 Years, Degree 2011; singing teachers: Lena-Susanne Norin, Christina Högman, Susanne Rydén).
Christina Larsson Malmberg is a freelance soprano since 2008 with a focus on early and newly written music. She works all over Europe with church music, chamber music and Baroque opera. She has been a soloist with orchestras like Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble, Copenhagen Soloists (Director: Jonathan Ofir; since 2011), Tallinn Baroque Orchestra, Lunds Stadsorkester, etc. and worked with directors like Elisabet Ljungar, Helena Röhr, Nils Spangenberg, Deda Cristina Colonna and Anna Novovic.
Christina Larsson Malmberg is one of two directors of of the Operabyrån (since 2010), which created the performances of Ingjutet i mitt hjärta, Kurtisanen & Kjærleken and Lovisa Ulrika, and produced the attention-fought feminist Baroque festival Barocka Kvinnor. She is burning to look up and highlight forgotten Baroque music written by women. She holds seminars on the subject and she has written an article about it in the magazine Early Music. She has participated several times in panel debates on artistic entrepreneurship, music and gender equality. In addition, she teaches private and holds master-classes in Baroque singing on request.
