The German trumpeter, Uwe Komischke, was in born Schwelm. After his music education he began his career at 18 as 1. Solo trumpet player in the City Orchestra of Gelsenkirchen (1981- August 1983). 1983 he moved to the same position with the Münchner Philharmoniker under Sergiu Celibidache (September 1983 - July 1997).
As a soloist Uwe Komischke is heard in numerous concerts in Germany and other countries and in concerts with the Münchner Philharmoniker under Sergiu Celibidache. He is well known amoung experts due to his many recordings for the radio and CD's. Famous composers (Hans Stadlmair or Peter Michael Hamel) are writing for him. He is very active in instrument design and plays only on instruments he has developed together with Norbert Axmann.
In 1987, Uwe Komischke received a Dozentur for trumpet at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. On the occasion of a master-class at the Senzoku Gakuen University of music in Tokyo in April 1993, he was offered a guest professorship. Since September 1994, he has a reputation as Professor for trumpet at the university Franz Liszt Weimar. He currently lives in Dortmund, Germany. |
