The Czech soprano, Zdena Kloubová, graduated (1986) at the Prague School of Performing Arts where she studied opera singing.
Zdena Kloubová then performed on the stages of opera theatres in the towns of Ústí nad Labem and Plzeň. In 1992 she became soloist of the State Opera in Prague and a year later soloist of the National Theatre in Prague. Her repertoire contains more than 20 coloratura and soubrette parts (Gilda, Susanne, Zerlina, Blonde, the Cunning Little Vixen, Karoline etc.). She has appeared as a guest in foreign opera houses e.g. in Denmark, Belgium, Russia, Japan, USA, Israel, etc. She performs together with Czech symphony and chamber ensembles (FOK, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Virtuosi di Praga, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra) and with renowned conductors (Jiří Bělohlávek, Libor Pešek, Vladimír Válek, Zdeněk Košler, Aldo Ceccato, Serge Baudo, Sir Charles Mackerras). She regularly participates in the Early Music Festival in Germany.
Zdena Kloubová also performs songs and in 1985 was a finalist at the R. Schumann International Singers Competition in Zwickau. She is a sought-after performer of chamber works (song cycles by Dvořák, Janáček, Martinů, Schubert, Gustav Mahler), cantatas and oratories (J.S. Bach, Dvořák, W.A. Mozart).
