The German organist, Carsten Klomp, studied piano, music education, church music (A) and organ at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik, as well as Germanic studies at the University of Bielefeld.
From 1986 to 1992 Carsten Klomp was church musician at the Herdecker Stiftskirche. From 1992 to 1995, he was District Kantor at the Bremerhavener Christuskirche. Since 1995 he operates as Provincial, District Kantor for for South-Baden and Municipal Kantor at Freiburger Ludwigskirche.
While studying Carsten Klomp was a teaching assistant for the course "liturgical organ playing" (teaching assistant for improvisation in Detmold). He received scholarsip of the Werner Richard - Dr. Karl Dörken-Stiftung. Since 1997 he teaches at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg, appointed Professor in November 200.
