The German conductor, Wolfgang Kläsener, studied organ with Professor Gisbert cutter (1979) and catholic church music at the Folkwang University for Music, Essen (1981). In 1987 he passed the State examination in church music, in 1990 Concert exam organ at Professor Daniel Roth, Paris/Saarbruecken, and in 1992 Artistic final examination at Professor Manfred Schreier, Stuttgart/Trossingen. He was the winner of several competitions: the international Johann Sebastian Bach Wettbewerb, Leipzig (1988), the Walter Gieseking Wettbewerb, Saarbruecken (1989), five prices at the Concorso Polifonico Guido d'Arrezzo, Italy (1991), Internationaler Kammerchorwerttbewerb Marktoberdorf (1993), and three prices at the Florilege Vocal de Tours , France (1995).
In 1984 Wolfgang Kläsener established of the Kettwiger Bach-Ensemble (international prices 1991, 1993, 1995). In 1985 he was appointed as lecturer in organ and choir line at the Bischoeflichen church school of music, Essen, and in 1990 as lecturer Lecturer in choir line at the church school of music Rottenburg/Neckar. Since 1993 he is Artistic director/conductor of Kantorei Barmen-Gemarke, Wuppertal. Since 1995 he has a training job for choir line at the national university for music, Trossingen, and since 1998 he is Director/conductor of the orchestra of the Bergische University of Wuppertal. He is also guest director and solo concerts as organist abroad the in and Concert journeys with the Kettwiger Bach-Ensemble and the Kantorei Barmen-Gemarke. |
