The American choral conductor, composer and and music pedagogue, Ann Kearns, holds the Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin and studied choral conducting at the Juilliard School of Music.
Ann Kearns is Professor of Music and the Director of Choral Music at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA.
Her compositions are published and performed widely and have received several awards, including first place in Alice Parker's Composition Search for Melodious Accord in New York City. Her recent commissions are from Hampshire College and the Blanche Moyse Chorale. She prepared and conducted choral arrangements for Mary Lyon: Precious Time, a documentary about the beginning of higher education for women.
