The Chilean soprano, Francisca Jünemann, has Advanced acting studies qith Juan Francisco Olea at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (March-December 2017). She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance with Maximum Distinction from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado (March 2018-December 2022), where she studied with Gonzalo Cuadra Balagna. She has also participated as a young artist in intensive opera programs: “Intensità Masterclasses with Aprile Millo Summer Program” (June-July 2018) and “Operavision Academy Young Artist Program” (July-August 2019). Finalist of the XI Concurso Latinoamericano de Canto Lírico de Radio Filarmonía October 2023 (Perú).
Francisca Jünemann has performed in renowned opera houses and concert halls both in Chile and abroad. Currently, she is consolidating herself as a rising promise in the lyric scene and this year (April-May 2023)she had a successful debut in the premiere of the opera El Demonio Mudo (F. Lang) at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago (Chile), achieving outstanding comments from the specialized critics, who considered "...the soprano Francisca Jünemann of contagious scenic charm and who takes charge of the most extensive vocal part of the work (...). Special mention for the aria Pandere denique tandium clausum." (Ópera Actual & El Mercurio). Likewise, Francisca Jünemann has worked under the wing of important opera personalities such as the legendary maestro Richard Bonynge, Aprile Millo and Verónica Villarroel. In addition, since 2018, she has been part of the Vetere Studio International, directed by Italian-Canadian soprano Maria Vetere, General Director of Opera Niagara, and with whom she has debuted roles such as Adina and Suzel. She has recently made her debut at the Teatro Universidad de Concepción (Chile) in the worldwide premiere of the Chilean opera El Corvo (R. Acevedo Raposo) in the leading role of Rosa. |
