The Serbian soprano, Milica Jovičic, graduated in 2012 with honours from the voice department of the University of Arts / Faculty of Music in Belgrade, with Professor Violeta Pančetovic-Radaković, with whom . she recieved her Master of Music degree in 2013, at the same University. She is also an advanced university student of Spanish Language and Hispanic Literatures of the Faculty of Filology in Belgrade.
During her studies, Milica Jovičić performed as a soloist in many concerts, national and international competitions and festivals. Among the numerous public appearances as a soloist, the most important are performances at the National Museum of Serbia, Concert Hall of the National University of Ilija M. Kolarac in Belgrade, big scene of the Opera and Theatre Madlenianum in Belgrade, University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, several concert halls throughout China (Dalian, Liuzhou, Nanchang...), Bulgaria, Slovakia, Portugal, Slovenia, Germany, etc. In the course of her Masters degree studies, she performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Faculty of Music, conducted by maestro Bojan Suđić.
The most important prizes Milica Jovičić got so far are: First Prize at the Republic Competition of Serbia (2007); First Prize the International Singing Competition Bruna Špiler in Montenegro (2011); First Prize and the title of Laureat at The Serbian Classical Song Competition (2012); First Prize at the International Singing Competition Nikola Cvejic in Ruma (2012); For the academic 2011-2012. year, she was awarded Best Student of the Voice Department of the Faculty of Music.
During 2012. she participated in the master-class of Baroque Singing with esteemed Baroque opera singer Marijana Mijanovic, and the master-class with opera singer David Bižić. The same year, she was a participant of the project Opera on the Square, patronized by the Youth Theatre Dadov and the Cultural Department of the City of Belgrade.
During 2013. Milica Jovičić ́ attended master-class of the art of Lied singing with Professor Ulf Bästlein in Germany (Liedkunst im Schloss vor Husum). As a scholarship holder of the music festival ISA, she took part in the Summer Academy at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Isa Opera Vienna Summer Academy 2013), where she attended master-class for Voice with Professor Gabriele Lehner, master-class for Opera Performance with Professor Beverly Blankenship, workshops with baritone Peter Edelmann and maestro Niels Muus. In September of current year, she had a solo recital in the Student's Cultural Center in Belgrade. She participated to the master-class with world esteemed Bulgarian soprano Darina Takova, within the festival Operosa, held in Belgrade, in October of current year.
As a member and a soloist of a chamber music Trio Eolin, with the baroque and ceremonial repertoire, Milica Jovičić performed in Concert for the Day of Reformation of Evangelic church in Vojvodina, concert in a Catholic Church of St. Charles Borromeo in Pančevo, several concerts and humanitarian events in the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade, etc. |
