The Hungarian soprano, Gabriella (Gabi) Jani, studied from 1989 to 1993 at the Szegedi Tudományegyetem Zeneművészeti Főiskolai Kar (University of Szeged, Faculty of Music), where she received her diplomas as Master artist and singing teacher (main teacher: György Sinkó); and from 2004 to 2007 at Pécsi Tudományegyetem Művészeti Kar (Pécs University Faculty of Arts), where she received a diploma as certified art therapist.
Gabriella Jani is an oratorio and opera singer. Her oratorio repertoire include: J.S. Bach: Magnificat (BWV 243), Johannes-Passion (BWV 245), Mass in B minor (BWV 232), Weinachts-Oratorium (BWV 248), numerous cantatas; George Frideric Handel: Dixit Dominus; Tullman-Turner: Amori Divini; Antonio Vivaldi: Gloria, In furore (Motet), Nel partir da te mio caro (Cantata); Giovanni Battista Pergolesi: Stabat mater; Monteverdi: Vespro della beata Vergine; Charpentier: Messe a 8 voix, Motet pour les Trépassés Miseremini mei; Haydn: Mass in B major; W.A. Mozart: Missa brevis in F major, Mass in C minor, Davide Penitente; Schubert: Mass in F major; Balatoni: Passió. Her operatic reprtoire include: Monteverdi: Orfeo (Musica, Proserpina); G.F. Handel: Aci e Galathea (Aci); G.B. Pergolesi: La serva padrona (Serpina); W.A. Mozart: Die Zauberflöte (1st Boy), Der Schauspieldirektor (Silberklang).
Gabriella Jani has worked as a tacher from 1993 to 2007 at the Pécsi Tudományegyetem Művészeti Kar (Pécs University Faculty of Arts), and since 2007 at the Siófoki Művészeti Iskola (School of Art in Siofok). |
