Since their establishment in 1991 the Johann Christian Bach-Akademie (= JCBA) have developed, by continuous and concentrated work, to a homogeneous orchestra with an extraordinarily strong self-profile.
The most standing out characteristic of the JCBA is their ability to connect stylistic articulation with subtle cantabile playing, which are particularly indispensable for real adequate interpretation of the early classical period and classical period. The concert repertoire of the JCBA includes also re-performance of works, which are performed only rarely on today's concert programmes. The JCBA are much in demand also because of their perfect and sensitive accompaniment of choirs and soloists.
Some CD recordings prove this impressively. The JCBA has performed the big choral works of J.S. Bach many In 2002 the chamber ensemble appeared, on invitation of the Deutschen Musikrates at the biggest South American Baroque festival in Bolivia in four concerts. In 2005 the orchestra played e.g. at the festival "La Folle Journée" in Nantes the L.v. Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, in Hamburg at St. Michaelis Felix Mendelssohn's Paulus. In addition, also in 2005, the ensemble with its organist Johannes Geffert performed the organ concerts Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
All members of the JCBA can look back on experiences for many years in German and European point ensembles. Every one of the musicians dedicates himself/herself in addition to intensive chamber-music activities. Thus the orchestra benefits a maximum of individual requirement concerning instrumental perfection, flexibility and joy playing.
The orchestra Concerto con Anima was founded by the violinist Ingeborg Scheerer and violist Andreas Gerhardus in 2007 and grew out of the 1991 founded Johann Christian Bach-Akademie. The desire to open the repertoire on the Baroque and Classical era addition, made a name change necessary. Now, projects with compositions up to the present century are possible and are realized by using the appropriate instruments.
As before, the long experience of Ingeborg Scheerer in the area of early music as concertmaster of orchestras as the Johann Christian Bach-Akademie or La Stagione Frankfurt, as well as the Primary member in the 2004 founded Pleyel Quartett Köln. All players can look back on years of experience in German and European top ensembles. The name expresses the primary concern of Concerto con Anima from: the "souled" in the music and "souled" in repeatedly instantaneously formed together to give a proper place. The result is the most striking feature of Concerto con Anima to connect appropriate style articulation with subtle lyricism and ability, to accompany choirs and soloists perfectly and sensitively. |
