The Italian soprano, Roberta Invernizzi, studied the piano and the double bass while specializing then in singing under the direction of Margaret Hayward, by looking further into the Baroque repertory with Emma Kirkby and Evelyn Tubb.
Roberta Invernizzi took part in many concerts and operas thoroughout Europe and in USA, including Rome, Milan, Vienna, Prague, London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Prague, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. She has appeard together with the following groups: la Cappella de la Pieta dei Turchini, Il Giardino Armonico, Archibudelli, I Sonatori de la Gioisa Marca, Accademia Strumentale Italiana, Retablo Barocco, Il Complesso Barocco. She sang under the direction of Giovanni Antonini, Anner Bylsma, Christophe Coin, Alan Curtis, Diego Fasolis, Antonio Florio, Ton Koopman, Gustav Leonhardt, Andrew Parrot, Jordi Savall. In January 1998, she was invited by Gustav Leonhardt to sing in the inaugural concert of the New York Collegium.
Roberta Invernizzi took part in recordings on the labels Opus 111, Virgin, Stradivarius, K617, Don Giovanni, Stradivarius, Symphonia, etc, and was rewarded by many prizes, including the Diapason d’Or, Choc, 10 de répertoire.
Since 1997 Roberta Invernizzi has taught Baroque singing at the Centro di Musica Antica Pietà dei Turchini in Naples, where she now lives. |
