The German baritone, Bernhard Hüsgen, studied singing with Professor Ingeborg Reichelt at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf, where he graduated in the opera class as well as the Lieder and oratorio classes. He won various national singing competitions, and passed the concert exam with distinction. After graduation, he received further vocal training mainly by Professor Anthony Baldwin in Rostock, and more recently by Alastair Thompson in Cologne. Scholarship of the Richard Wagner Association as well as a master-course for Lieder interpretation with Professor Norman Shetler in Vienna, completed his musical education.
Bernhard Hüsgen has since dedicated himseld mainly to Lieder and oratorio singing. His busy concert schedule in recent years has been documented by radio and CD productions (including the Westdeutschen Rundfunk, Köln).
For some time Bernard Hüsgen is also in demand as a music teacher. He focuses in particular on his role as vocal coach in children's and youth choirs. Since October 2006 he leads the SingPause at the Katholischen Grundschule Unter der Eichen in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim. |
