The Swiss choral conductor, Regina Hui, grew up in Wetzikon. After graduating from high school, she continued to study a wide variety of music from Baroque to rock, from samba to klezmer, from new music to free improvisation, especially violin and singing, also agriculture and special education, and then studied choir conducting and music education at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. She founded and took over choirs and completed additional training in integrative voice training.
Regina Hui directs the Kinder- und Jugendchöre as part of a team at the Musikschule Basel. Since starting her studies, she has created opportunities to get a wide variety of people singing in a variety of ways, in ad hoc choirs, in workshops, in schools, in individual and group lessons. She performs with violin and voice in various formations, and increasingly as a theater musician. She lives with her family in Basel. |
