The German conductor and organist, Jörg-Hannes Hahn, studied church music, organ, piano and conducting with Werner Jacob, Ludger Lohmann and Marie-Claire Alain (Paris), among others, and had won the Orgelwoche Nürnberg in 1992.
Jörg-Hannes Hahn is artistic director of the series MUSIC AM 13 and the Bachchor Stuttgart and Bachorchester Stuttgart. Since 1996 he teaches artistic organ playing at the Stuttgart Musikhochschule. In 1997, he performed the entire organ works of Max Reger, the end of the memorial in 2000 was followed by the organ works of J.S. Bach in 14 weeks. His love is the Early music and the German Romantic period, his interest - with numerous world and German premieres - the music of the 20th/21st Century. Engagements as a soloist, guest professor, juror in competitions and as a conductor have led him to most European countries, Israel, South America and to Japan, Korea and Singapore. He has taught, inter alia, at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan, the National Music Academy in Poznan and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
Numerous productions for radio and CD document his artistic activity. So in 2005 appeared on Cantate label CD with the Bachchor Stuttgart and Cantus Stuttgart with sacred choral works by Camille Saint-Saëns and Vol II of the organ works of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach on the historical Marx-Migendt organ in Berlin-Karlshorst, followed in the spring of 2006 by a further production with sacred choral works by Josef Rheinberger.
In May 2005, Jörg-Hannes Hahn was awarded the title of Church Music Director (KMD). At the of 2007 he was appointed professor at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, on January 1, 2008 he was appointed Kirchenkreis Kantor for Stuttgart.
In 2003 Jörg-Hannes Hahn married his wife, Ulrike, in May 2004, his daughter Charlotte Philine saw the light of the world, in June 2007, his son, Friedrich Jakob was born. |
