The French contralto, Alice Poitrineau-Habellion, trained firstly as a harpsichordist in Limoges Conservatory and continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris where she received her prize for harpsichord and basso continuo price in 2008. The singing then came along and took an important place in her life as a musician. She then joined the singing class of the Department of Early Music at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon. Today she continues to work with Elene Golgevit.
Alice Habellion sings in many ensembles including Akadêmia Ensemble (Director: Françoise Lasserre), Le Concert Spirituel (Director: Hervé Niquet), Concerto Soave (Director: J.M. Aymes), Matches (Director: S. Daucet), Les Cris de Paris (Director: G. Jordan), The Musicians Paradise (A. Buet), Les Chantres du Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles (Director: Olivier Schneebeli), The Baroque Crossings (Director: E. Meyer), and Les Arts Florissants (Director: William Christie).
Alice Habellion is a soloist in various religious works such as the St John Passion (BWV 245) by J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor ()BWV 232 by J.S. Bach, The Seven Words of Christ on the cross by Heinrich Schütz, Petite messe solennelle by G. Rossini, Cantatas by J.S. Bach, works by M.A, Charpentier and Antonio Vivaldi. She was a soloist in May 2013 in Requiem by Max Reger for viola and choir under the direction of Hervé Niquet, was Marta in the Conversion of Mary Magdalene by G.B. Bononcini in September 2013 with Concerto Soave, directed by J.M. Aymes. She was soloist in King Arthur (directed by Shirley and Dino) by H. Purcell under the direction of Hervé Niquet in December 2013, and Giove in La Pellegrina Interludes in Opera Dijon in February 2014 with Baroque Crossings.
