Anna Haase (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Germany

The German mezzo-soprano, Anna Haase, studied with Professor Tamar Rachum in Israel, at the Rubin Academy of Music, and participated in numerous master-classes, for example with Marjana Lipovšek, Waltraud Meier, and Rudolf Piernay. She was finalist at the Mozart Competition in Salzburg.

In 1997 Anna Haase made her opera debut as Orlofsky at the in the Erfurt Opera. Apart from roles within the lyric mezzo-soprano opera range, she has developed an extensive repertoire in Lieder and oratorio. Engagements led her to Brazil, Israel, Rome, Copenhagen, and Strasbourg. She has already worked with Roderich Kreile, Georg Christoph Biller, Christian Kabitz, Rudolf Kelber, Thomas Hengelbrock and participated at the Opernfestspielen München 2000 and at the Schwetzinger Festspielen 2002. Today she is much in demand all over Germany, particularly as an oratorio singer.
