The American tenor, Samuel Green, received his Bachelor of Music degree at Anderson University in 2009. During his time at Anderson University he studied with Mary Hagopian and Fritz Robertson. He went on to receive training at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, studying with Costanza Cuccaro.
Roles he peformed include: Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Alfred in Die Fledermaus; Contino Belfiore in W.A. Mozart's La Finta Giadiniera, Mayor Upfold in Benjamin Britten's in Albert Herring, Fenton in Merry Wives of Windsor, and others. Samuel, during his time at Indiana University was able to perform in various Oratorio and Chamber music both apart of a chorus and as a soloist. His most recent work was singing in George Frideric Handel's Messiah in fall of 2012. Other chambers work he has taken part: Arvo Pärt's Passio, C. Monteverdi's Della messa beate virgine, J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor (BWV 232) and Johannes-Passion (BWV 245). During the summer of 2012 Samuel was invited to sing the role of Dante in Sergei Rachmaninov’s Francesca da Marini for the Princeton Music Festival’s double-bill summer performances. He has also sung with Anderson Symphony. Hae currently resides in Anderson, Indiana with his wife and son. |
