The Spanisg harpsichordist, Andrés Alberto Gómez Rueda, began to study the harpsichord at the Conservatorio Italiano de París with Salvo Romeo and Patricio Pizarro, and continued his training with Jan Willen Jansen, Tony Millán, Yves Rechsteiner and Huguette Dreyfus. He completed his studies of harpsichord and early music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Netherlands) as a student of Jacques Ogg and at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña, E.S.M.U.C. as a pupil of Béatrice Martin, obtaining honors and congratulations of the jury. Since 1999 he has been awarded a scholarship by the Ateneo Albacetense and the Diputación Provincial de Albacete to perfect musical studies. In 2002 he was finalist for young performers at Diputación Provincial de Albacete held in Ciutadella (Menorca).
Andrés Alberto Gómez is founder and director of the ensemble La Reverencia. His performances as a soloist and continuo include places like Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, Poland and Lithuania. He has performed with various ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, Tasto Solo, I.K B., Forma Antiqva, Bach Ensemble of The Hague, Canto Coronato, Harmonia del Parnàs, Atheneum Kamerorkest, Baroque Orchestra of the Conservatory of The Hague or the Orquesta Sinfónica de Oviedo, being conducted by musicians such as William Christie, Paul Dombrecht, Paul McCreesh, Roy Goodman, Richard Egarr or Ton Koopman.
In the Oviedo Opera 2005-2006 season, Andrés Alberto Gómez participated in the production of George Frideric Handel's opera Alcina conducted by Paul Dombrecht. In 2008 he worked with Les Arts Florissants in a production of L'Orfeo by Monteverdi conducted by William Christie. With his friend and fellow student Aaron Zapico, he forms the harpsichord duo Il Saltarello, which was selected in the Fringe del XVIII Festival de Música Antigua de Barcelona and and with whom he has performed at various festivals.
Andrés Alberto Gómez has recorded for the Radio Holland (Radio West), Radio-Television Slovenia, WDR 3 Radio Catalonia, Polish Radio-TV and the labels Arsis, Passacaille, Tañidos and Vanitas. In 2011 he founded his own record label Vanitas. He recently recorded his first solo album, under the title "Docere, Movere et Delectare" with German harpsichord music from the 17th century.
