The German soprano, Marie-Therese Goetzky, received her first piano and flute lessons in her childhood and sang in various girls chamber choirs. At the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg she completed her music education studies with an emphasis on singing. Afterwards, she studied concert and oratorio singing with Barbara Christina Steude at the Evangelischen Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Halle (Saale).
Parallel to her music studies, Marie-Therese Goetzky was engaged as voice coach with the Rundfunk-Kinderchor Berlin, Kinderchor der Stadt Halle and MDR-Kinderchor (2016). She gained solist experiences in church as well as chamber music concerts. Her special fondness is in early music, with her master-classes in Baroque singing with Emma Kirkby and Gundula Anders giving valuable artistic impulses. She sang, nong others, at the Internationalen Bachfest Leipzig, Heinrich Schütz Musikfestes, Magdeburger Telemann-Festtage and Oslo Church Festivals. In addition to her solo career, she has been Music Director of the Kindersingakademie der Stadt Halle (Saale) since October 2013. She is also a member of Collegium Vocale Leipzig (Director: Michael Schönheit). She curreently lives in Halle (Saale). |
