The German baritone, Tobias Germeshausen, studied at Eichsfeld Gymnasium Duderstadt (Class of 1996). Initially he studied Graphic Design at the Hochschule Bildender Künste Braunschweig, but then, after a year of studying music, he decided to study singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock (Class of 2006) in order to pursue a musical career.
Since 2006, Tobias Germeshausen has been a member of the opera choir of the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg. As a soloist, his recent roles there have included: 2nd soldier in Wunderhorn (December 2008-March 2009); second stranger (Ein Fremder) in the operetta Der Vetter aus Dingsda (February-July 2009); Vicomte Cascada in Im Weissen Rössl (January-June 2010); Alidoro in La Cenerentola (March-July 2011); Cecil B De Mille in Sunset Boulevard (November 2013-April 2014); Fünf Juden in Salome (April-June 2014); Dr Roger Fleuriot in Meine Schwester und ich (Mar 2016). He also appeared as a guest at Theater Chemnitz as Egon von Wildenhagen in Der Vetter aus Dingsda (October 2010-April 2011).
In addition, Tobias Germeshausen regularly participates in concerts of the Bamberger Symphoniker and the Schleswig-Holstein-Musik-Festival. He also appears frequently as an oratorio singer. Last year, for example, he toured W.A. Mozart's Requiem to Japan and Singapore. With Lieder by Johannes Brahms he guested on the cruise ship "MS Germany". He is also a member of Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart (Directors: Helmuth Rilling & Hans-Christoph Rademann). He currently lives in Würzburg. |
