The American bass-baritone and singing teacher, Gregory Geiger, obtained his Bachelor of Music and
Master of Music degrees in Music Theory and Composition from Michigan State University (September 1979-May 1984); and had Professional Studies in Music Performance at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University (August 1984-March 1989).
Gregory Geiger has been a professional musician for 4 decades: sang opera, wrote music, and taught music at the college level. He has been a soloist for LA Opera (September 1999-June 2022), LA Master Chorale (August 2000-June 2017), Baltimore Opera, Washington National Opera, Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Baltimore Concert Artists and Polaris New Music Ensemble. He has sung in numerous movie scores and recordings ranging from operatic to country to pop. He can be seen in concerts and operas around the greater Los Angeles area.
Gregory Geiger has been a faculty member at Pomona College (September 2003-June 2022) and maintained a private teaching studio, L.A. Classical Studio, Inc (January 2004-June 2023). Since July 2023, he is Owner of Easternpublications.net. He married Rachel Jiang on March 12, 2010 and currently lives in Gastonia, North Carolina. |
