Pilar Garrido (Soprano)

Born: Chile

The Chilean soprano, Pilar Garrido, obtained her Bachelor of Arts derre in Lyrical Singing from the Universidad de Chile (2012-2020).

Pilar Garrido was a singer in at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (March-October 2015). At the Municipal de Santiago - Ópera Nacional de Chile she sang in the opera Papelucho, by the Chilean composer Sebastián Errazuriz (October-December 2015), and the role of Pamina in the opera Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart, conducted by Pablo Prudencio (2020). She sang the role of Trini in the recording of the first Chilean musical ¡Esta señorita Trini!, under the direction of Carmen Barros (February-December 2016); has been lyrical soprano at Inspirarte (since March 2017). At the Universidad de Chile she sang the role of Adinae in the opera L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti with Orquesta de estudiantes de la facultad de artes de la Universidad de Chile, conducted by Eduardo Browne, staged by Diego Belmar (November 2018); and the role of Rita in the opera Rita by Gaetano Donizetti with Orquesta Sinfónica de estudiantes de la Universidad de Chile, conducted by Eduardo Browne (since May 2017). She is a member of Coro Bach Santiago (since 2018).

Pilar Garrido will debut in the 2021 season of the Municipal de Santiago in the opea Madama Butterfly, with the role of Kate Pinkerton in August 2021. In addition, she will be participating as an active student in the master-class of Master Roberto Rizzi, head of the Philharmonic Santiago Orchestra in August 2020.
