The Italian tenot, Stefano Gambarino, graduated with full marks from the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi di Torino” in chamber vocal music under the guidance of Maestro Elio Battaglia. He studied with masters such as Sherman Lowe, Claire Lefilliâtre, Antonio Lemmo, Gioacchino Livigni.
Stefano Gambarino played the roles of Ismaele in Giuseppe Verdi's Nabucodonosor, Bastien in W.A. Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne, Corregidor in Hugo Wolf's der Corregidor, Donatello in Mauro Bouvet's Soffio di Vento, Pinocchio in Antonio Cericola's Pinocchio, Candide in Leonard Bernstein's Candide, Count Danilo Danilowitsch in Franz Lehar's Die Lustige Witwe. He sang in Jean-Baptiste Lully's Le Bourgeois gentilhomme. He was solo tenor in W.A. Mozart's Requiem, Henry Purcell's Ode to Saint Cecilia, Ariel Ramirez' Misa Criolla, Franz Schubert's Mass in G major D167.
As tenor of the ensemble “I Liederisti italiani”, Stefano Gambarino performs an intense concert activity on the German chamber repertoire; he has collaborated with Opera de Dijon, National Theater of Maribor, Unione Musicale di Torino, Academia Montis Regalis, Accademia Stefano Tempia; he attended the courses of the Accademia Maghini and then became a permanent member of the Coro e Consort Maghini, as a chorister and tenor soloist. |
