The Swedish choral conductor and organist, Pär Fridberg, graduated as a church musician at Kungliga Musikhögskolan (Royal College of Music) in Stockholm and obtained his conducting degree under the guidance of Professor Eric Ericson and Kjell Ingebretsen (1980-1987).
Since September 1992 Pär Fridberg has been employed in Hedvig Eleonora parish where he directs the Hedvig Eleonora Kammarkör and plays at church services such as baptisms and weddings. During a 10-year period (1998-2008), he was chorus master in the Gothenburg Concert Hall, where on most occasions he conducted the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Bohus Big Band. From 1999 to 2004, he was Lecturer in choral conducting at Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Otherwise, Pär Fridberg freelance as a choir conductor (since 2011), and also has a burning interest in photography and he has benn Independent Professional Photographer since 2011. From August 2004 to February 2011, he was also the editor of the parish with the main responsibility for websites and parish magazines. He currently lives in Stockholm.. |
