The Polish harpsichordist and organist, Anna Firlus, graduted from the Akademia Muzyczna im. Karola Szymanowskiego (Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music) in Katowice, where she studied organ under Professor J. Gembalski, and harpsichord under Professor Marek Toporowski. She has participated in numerous courses and master-classes devoted to the interpretation of organ, harpsichord and chamber music, conducted by outstanding professors such as Jean-Luc Perrot, Christoph Bossert, Christopf Grohmann, Bernhad Hass, Maija Lehtonen, Ludger Lohmann, Anthony Spiri, Aline Zylberajch, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Leszek Kędracki and Rachel Podger
Anna Firlus gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician, both on the organ and on the harpsichord, reaching for the repertoire from the Renaissance to the present day. She is a member of the {oh!} Orkiestra Historyczna and a co-founder of the 17th and 18th century Music Ensemble Extempore and the Ensemble Chimérique. She also collaborates with many ensembles performing early music, including: Capella Cracoviensis, Musaicum, Polską Orkiestrą XVIII w., Capella 1547 and Flori Pari.
Anna Firlus has been invited to perform at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad, including Mixtur im Bass, Großräschener Orgelkonzerte, Summer slavnosti stare hudby in Prague, Brühler Schlosskonzerte, Festiwal Bachowski in Świdnica, All’improvviso, Musica Poetica in Tarnów, Muzyka na Sczytach in Zakopane and Międzynarodowy Festiwal Muzyki Sakralnej Gaude Mater.
