The German soprano, Anne Kathrin Fetik, obtained her soloist diploma in singing from the Conservatory of Music Saar (Professor Rosemarie Bühler-Fey). At the age of five Anne Kathrin Fetik started to play violin, with twelve she had her first piano lessons. Growing up in a musical family, she has always been involved in music activities from her early childhood on including singing in choirs and solo engagements, which have played an important part in her musical career. During her studies she performed as soloist of Lied recitals and oratorios. She took part in the prologue of the festival "Music in the 21st Century" of the Saarland Broadcast and in concerts of the Saar Music Festival. Concert tours led her to Italy, Portugal and South America. She performed with the Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen and Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Saarbrücken.
Anne Kathrin Fetik worked her Lied repertoire in courses with Mitsuko Shirai, Hartmut Höll and Roger Vignoles. She attended the master class of Professor Irwin Gage and continued with Carol Meyer-Bruetting in Frankfurt. In 1999, she won the first prize at the Walter Gieseking Competition. In 2002-2003, she was sponsored by the Saarland government at the forum "Young Talents". Moreover, she holds a scholarship of the Richard Wagner Association.
Anne Kathrin Fetik had her first guest engagement at the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen in the 2002-2003 season, where she interpreted the role of Despina in a new production of Cosi fan tutte last year. In 2006 she had an engagement at the Wernigeröder Schlossfestspiele as Nanetta in Falstaff.
In the 2006-2007 season she performed at the Stadttheater Münster Offenbach's La Péricole and the world premiere of Fintenzauber. Furtheron she had her guest engagements at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Staatstheater Saarbrücken. |
