The Portuguese baritone, organist and oboist, André Ferreira, holds a Degree in Organ from the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied with Jacques van Oortmerssen, and also had the opportunity to work with Pieter van Dijk. He completed the Master in Organ at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (ESML), under the guidance of João Vaz. He began his organ studies with António Esteireiro at the Instituto Gregoriano in Lisbon, later continuing with Jos van der Kooy at the Hague Conservatory. He attended the degree in Baroque Oboe, with Pedro Castro, at ESML.
As a soloist or as part of several musical groups, André Ferreira has already given recitals in Portugal, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. He has collaborated as an organist with the Paróquia de S. Tomás de Aquino and with the Paróquia de Santa Maria de Belém, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos. He is Professor of Organ at the Escola Diocesana de Música Sacra do Patriarcado of Lisbon and at the Sé Catedral de Faro.
In additio, André Ferreira has a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computing from Instituto Superior Técnico. |
